The days are getting warmer and longer. That means Summer is just around the bend…or it means that freezing temps and flurries are just around the bend. You just never know in good ol' Ohio. But let's pretend that Summer is coming, as we revisit that seemingly strange-yet-familiar Columbus food trend from last year: fried chicken.

Yep, fried chicken…cookies.
Do you like fried chicken, but hate standing outside a pop-up/food truck/hip new restaurant for 20 minutes, because, OMG, is everyone in Columbus getting fried chicken, as if they've never heard of KFC? Ever wish that fried chicken was in cookie form…? CALL ME GENIE, BECAUSE YOUR WISH IS GRANTED.

The Fried Chicken cookie: a cookie that tastes like fried chicken. I don't know what else to tell you. After the cookies are baked, they spend a bit of time in a skillet getting fried, like actual fried chicken!

Oh, and for all you lovers of heat, there is a spicy variant of this. :)
